Hi !!!,

this is my first thread in this forum, and i need all your help to choose my next guitar. I like to have different guitars with difrrerent sounds. and i'm not very enthusiastic about buying the same guitar in different color. even though i've been tempted with EBMM guitars.

so i'm in search for a guitar EBMM or from other brand that will complement my small arsenal of guitars

my guitars are:

Ibanez RG 3550 Prestige (HSH configuration)
EBMM Albert Lee P90 (3 P90s pickups)
EBMM Steve Morse (original model)
EBMM Luke III (two humbuckers)
Les Paul Standard 2012
Fender Stratocastar Vintage Hot Rod 62
PRS 513
Epiphone BB King model

I was thinking maybe a Telecaster? but i see it as a very primitive instrument, my other alternative was a Gibson SG, but i'm afraid it sound to similar to the les paul, also i'm concerned about the design of the guitar, tuning stability and balance.
from EBMM i was thinking about the JP6 without the piezo. because i don't know if i will ever use the piezo? is it worth the extra money for the piezo? and my other option was a Reflex or a Axis. i think the reflex will give me mor options with the parallel / series switch....

what do you think? have i left out a guitar that i should consider??

thanks!!!

If you're considering a telecaster, then try an Al SSS. I had a really great tele for a while and just never used it. Personally, I've never really "gotten" the SG, even though a bunch of companies made copies.

What is it that you're looking for? A different sound? I mean, maybe a Ric or Parker would fit that bill better. If you're looking at a BB King, maybe find a 60's Guild archtop.

If I had your collection, I'd replace the strat with a silo spec SSS and replace the LP with an Al HH. That would upgrade the collection without going to more guitars.

What About the Reflex?? is it worth the parallel sounds?

Hey Roberto,
Welcome to the forum! You should have a look at the Reflex Game Changer:The Gamechanger
Any possible wiring configuration is at your disposal, series, parallel, in/out of phase, not to mention Midi in or out
The signal remains analog, extremely versatile guitar.

Absolutely +1! Get one with a piezo to open you up to full-range, acoustic possibilities. Heck, you could sell just about all of your current arsenal (except your MM guitars, of course), add the game changer and be capable of anything!

I see game changer is getting a lot of +1, but i don't like the idea of depend from a computer every time i want to have a different configuration. i mean will i still get the access to the configurations in 20 years? what will happen when USB is not longer used as a computer interface?

If youre not sold on the Gamechanger go with a 25th/Reflex. Its my number one and very versatile. Id say the parallel switch is amazing. My 25th used to be my only axe for a while, and it served me amazingly covering a wide variety of sounds.

Hey Roberto, keep in mind that with most guitars you do not have the option of even changing your configuration above the 3 or 5 switch settings included, without taking it too a tech to modify. The Game Changer allows you to come up with your own(25 can be stored)

In the event that USB becomes antiquated, The Game Changer is equipped to accept nearly any protocol and physical plug format that will be created in the future. Using the 8-pin DIN jack, any protocol can be accepted with the use of a Music Man adaptor or dongle.

First, I don't think an SG sounds similar at all to a Les Paul. Second, get a Silhouette. ;)
