Hey- nice score. This was Brent's EVH/Sterling?

Btw, I have a set of old schaller non-locking tuners from my '91 Morse. Not sure if they're what was on the EVHs, but if you want them, they're yours.

My first post!

Nice looking green bod! I was looking through Craigslist, and saw a blue Axis that had an EVH neck - $1300 I think. You could scavange the neck off that one and use it on your green EVH, and put your sterling neck on the Axis and sell that as a complete guitar, to get some money back. Just a thought.

Thanks, unless the neck on that blue guitar ISN'T genuine? Since the real EVH necks are smaller at the heel, and there looks like NO space on the blue CL guitar, I bet it's just an Axis neck.

Ohhhhhh....so it's NOT an EVH.

I don't agree.

Example: If you remove the hood off of a 1969 Camaro, it is still a 1969 Camaro.

This guitar has some original parts missing, but they can be replaced. It may take time. I am fine with that.
It isn't a collector piece with paperwork. That's ok.

It is still 1 of 96 built. To me, that is the cool part.

Congrats Tommy! The minute you stated it had a Sterling neck I knew where who you bought it from lol. I still am a bit puzzled over the history of this guitar as I never asked Brent. Had to be someone accidentally broke the neck because the body has one of the best finishes I have ever seen on a green EVH. Glad to see it wound up in someones hands who knows the guitars inside and out and get the feeling you will have it restored as close to original as possible! Just an insane top.

Don't know if I agree with that comparison since cars have titles and VIN numbers that can be verified. Does it have it's original EBMM neck plate and serial number that verifies it as one of the 96 greens originally produced?
