I finally purchased a new Stingray Classic last week, and I'm lovin' it! Natural finish, flame maple neck & fingerboard. Purchased from The Amazing Jay at NJ Guitar & Bass Center, Edison, NJ.

Can you tell me when it was born? Serial # B053404

I also own two other Music Man basses, purchased new: a Sterling (Trans. Red, Rosewood, # F00055). I know it's a 1998 and one of the first basses to come out of the then-new MM factory in San Luis Obisbo, but I'd love a more specific born on date.

I also have a Stingray 5 HH - Sapphire Black, Rosewood # E64635. I think it's a 2008, but not sure.
