New to the forum and finally replaced my stolen stingray bass with what I believe to be a 1983 stingray.
Thought I would join the fun and see what my serial number will reveal.

Ok I see that you wont have any information about my bass now as it is pre ernie ball.

The serial is consistent with 1983. Also, if need be, dates should be located on the neck heel and in the neck pocket on the body but the neck has to be removed to view them. As official Pre-EB records were not kept other info on your Bass is not available.

I'm sorry! This instrument does come up as a Bongo-4, still with the HS pickup configuration though, not HH.
