Hello all,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tom, I'm from Kansas City, Missouri. Never owned any EBMM guitars, but always heard good things. I've played a few JPs at my local GC, and always thought they played very nice. For some reason, just never followed through with a purchase.

So, I ended up buying another brand guitar very recently from an online site, a quite expensive one ($1K more than a JPXI), and when I received it, I was sadly underwhelmed. So, back it went, and I ordered a JPXI instead! I should have done it a long time ago. So, I checked the tracking this morning, and...

On Vehicle for Delivery Today

Whoo hoo! I'm very excited! Seems this guitar will do it all, with the piezo, etc. Merry Christmas to me! :D

I've also been looking at other EBMM models, and the Axis Super Sport and the Albert Lee HH look really cool too.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to becoming a part of the EBMM family and forum community!

Welcome to the forum, Tom. You saved yourself from an expensive mistake - good idea to send the other one back.

Well I saw no objections to the above request, so... It was a "42 motsuC SRP". ;)

Man, UPS has the be the slowest folks in the shipping business. Still waiting for delivery. And it's 5:00PM CST here!

LOL... UPS driver's ears must have been burnin'. He delivered at 5:10PM.

Wow, this thing is GORGEOUS. A lot more "blue-ish" than I expected, but I dig it! A lot!

Got to fix dinner for the family, help kids with homework, get them ready for bed, etc. before I can begin noodling. That's ok, as I need to let it warm up to room temp anyways... it's cold here in KC today!

Ok, wow... this thing plays like a dream. I absolutely love the thin neck, the 20" radius on the fretboard, everything. It is so easy to play! And it sounds fantastic! Ok, enough gushing. I've got a question:

Is it safe to remove the bar code stickers on the back? The one on the neck joint plate appears to be the serial number sticker, so I probably won't remove that one, but is there any reason I shouldn't remove the other one on the body? Does it serve a purpose, and if removed, does it leave behind a sticky residue?

Thanks in advance for the answer to this!

Congratulations on the new addition!

Re the stickers. Peel away, neither are needed (though you can of course stick them onto a sheet of paper should you feel the need) and will come off leaving the finish residue free!

Oh, forum rules my friend......no pics....no guitar. ;-)
