Today I put cobalts on my SR5. Wow! That is fantastic. Too bad people still cannot buy it in my country in case of slowpoke-like local dealer who does not give a crap about new products. All you can buy is EB picks, a couple of bass and guitar string sets and 3 or 4 EBMM basses that were shipped thousands years ago. I could not even buy some wonder wipes for my fb( So I used to ask relatives abroad to send me some cobalts and wonder wipes to try it.
But now my fb is pretty clean and shiny and cobalts set is blowing me away. So bright and aggressive. Hands down.

My SR5 is the only bass I haven't put them on yet. I don't play it that often so I left the factory slinkys on it but I'm sure it would sound as awesome as my other basses with cobalts.

I love the cobalts I put on my Sterling 4 HS. The mids are very aggressives!

I have the same problem it is very difficult to get the 5 strings cobalts no one is stocking them in my aera. It has been since last spring that I try to get a set for my SR5.

I visited my EBMM dealer this afternoon and he finally told me some good news, ...Cobalts are paid and on their way to the store!

So, ...You guys can expect finally EB Cobalts on EBMM reflex review!

I don't spend enough time here anymore. Would one of you put up a sound clip of a SR5 or Bongo with cobalts?

I don't find the Cobalts to be bright (I don't like zingy bright strings). To me, they just sound clear. There's nice low end and low mids and it seems like more harmonics coming through.

Me too! I'm finally on my second set and can't believe how long the first set lasted. We play a lot of gigs and I sweat all over my strings. Strings typically last a couple of months at best. These cobalts, however, have lasted 6 months. And I'm not completely sure they were done. I just felt the need to put new strings on.

Then there's the sound..........oh my! Not sure how MM scientists came up with that perfect blend, but they sure nailed it.
