Come on guys, we are here on this forum because we love this brand. The Stallion-Majesty is delayed, ok, no matters. We have a lot of other cool stuff, JP13, new Sabre bass, the Armada of course.
I remember all about the JP BFR, and that was one of the reasons that I decided to make some distance with the forum. All that freakin' stuff, I really hope that I will never read some anymore. Keep calm and carry on. Maybe someone could be desappointed about the Stallion-Majesty delayed, but be patient, and you will see it soon.

Here is a man with vision or super powers...hasnt held it seen it played it....but can be this aggressive and rude. This is why there aren't more sneak peaks anymore.

So absolutely not worth it, the JP13 that is. If you already have a JP just keep your money in your pockets instead. It seriously sucks.

Big Poppa,

In the industry your in it takes a lot for someone to say we are making something that the artist likes and not water it down because of some random survey that avergaes what the customer likes. This is why I love buying from you and your company.

It also takes a lot to look at something that works and is successful and make changes, take risks, take the intiaitive. Another reason why I respect you guys.

Im not trying to fanboy out but I welcome and look forward to changes. I personally love the BFR on the 12th fret. But now when I buy my next BFR (JP13:)) I will have something thats not just different than spec but different in direction from EBMM.
People cant handle change, sometimes the people most against it are the ones that will eventually go back on what they said once they have tried it.

I was taken back a little bit when I saw the changes to the BFR plate and etc....but I liked it alot. Its fresh, its different and its representitive of what EBMM believes in and produces. And at the end of the day its an EBMM. To complain about a missing JP, a 12th fret inlay and other small cosmetic choices shows that you havnt mastered your instrument. Youve only mastered looking at it. Play that damn thing and then tell me you dont like it.....(Crickets)......Bring the change Big Poppa, we are behind you.

Not every guitar is made for everyone.

If MM and JP decide to launch a new one, I´m happy. I´m not buying it, but just because the JP isn´t my "weapon of choice", and that doesn´t mean it shouldn´t be released.

I´m excited as hell to see new products and innovation from my fav. company, so keep ´em coming! I´m eager to see the new colors of the Morses :D

Hey BP does the name come from the Spinal Tap song "The Majesty of Rock"??????

That song has my favourite Tap lyric in it

"I know, for I told me so,
And I'm sure each of you quite agrees:
The more it stays the same, the less it changes!"

I admire how much R&D has gone into the Petrucci's over the years. I miss my 1st year JP7 w/piezo. So versatile, playable, and toneful. It's interesting to me to see how many different incarnations have been introduced of this model, much to the delight of JP fans everywhere. In the end I couldn't bond with the neck shape, but that's the only thing holding me back from another one.

I want to go on a limb and say the "Majesty" comes from what DT called themsleves before having to drop that band name and change it to DT...

The first incarnation of Dream Theater was known as Majesty.....so I'm assuming that is where the name originates from. I believe they had to change name just prior to the first album due to another band already having the name.

wow, there are some people on this board, who know how to make friends for lifetime..... ;)

BP, it´s sad that the Majesty will be delayed, but delayed is not canceled, so there will be a Majesty in the future, which for sure will be an awesome guitar.
i was waiting so now three or four years for the release of a Blackburst Y2D.....now it seems to happen - great!

personally i understand the release of the new JP13, John is a "gear-freak" and it´s logical to release a guitar he likes.
i can only imagine how he comes up with new ideas or the suggestions to try something new, and it always starts with the basic BFR configurations.....i love it. it´s nearly the same as with his amp/effect-rig....every show a different pedal....and so on. :)

it´s his signature guitar-series, he love´s it, he plays it, we can buy the same guitars John is using - that is great!
so we (the common public) don´t even have a right to complain about it!

to me it´s awesome to have the possibility to get an instrument which is made by the same guys at the factory, build with the same high-end quality as the guitar the artists use....man, this is just awesome!!!
got my hands on Steve Morses Y2D - well they feel and sound just like my Y2Ds.....where else in the industry can you get this without over-paying for it?

i love EBMM guitars, yes! and if i like the feel and sound of a guitar, i will buy it. no matter if it´s the regualr JP, the BFR JP, the JPX, JPXI, JP12 or JP13 or what else to come in this line.

btw. i hope Mike Portnoy doesn´t have the rights on the word "Majesty" - guess you don´t want to have the same problem with the name as you had with the first JP BFR (F-1) ;)

I hope BP sees the difference between receiving feedback from people (like myself) genuine feedback that is, as oppose to people just being complete pricks.

Everyone has an opinion for sure but sometimes its best to hold off the keyboard. Check it out and live with the idea for a bit then respond, especially if your not sure what you think......:)

I'm sure he can... He has said before that the speculative comments and wishful comments (that I've been guilty of) are potentially problematic because it can just become a runaway off topic thing... while the negative (not even just negative feedback but being rude about it) comments are literally hurtful... and they should be. He's a person who devotes himself to this. EB isn't a company with shareholders and a hired management team who's loyalty stops at the next highest bid.

Frankly, I'm starting to wish the rude people would just go away. I miss the updates and sneak peeks, and I know they're likely never coming back now. Since I'm more a lurker until the JP stuff starts getting announced, it has really affected my involvement in this forum. Not that I don't love all the other guitars too... I do. I always have to remind myself that I need a backup to my JPs, but I WANT an Axis, Silo, Silo Special, Luke I, II, and III lol, etc. etc. etc. But, I don't have as much to talk about with them that isn't already said, or wouldn't be mundane. lol

We're spoiled. How many people know the owner of other companies like we do BP?

Well said. I can gaurantee most of us couldnt get 5 minutes with the owners of where we work day to day let alone the owner of where we spend our money takes time out of his day between running two companies, a family, a personal life etc.....

BP, totally agreed with your words, but be sure his opinion does not reflect the entire forum. Not mine for sure.
