I ordered a PDN Sabre. I hope I can afford it by the time it shows up. Glad to see it got the full line treatment though. It is an active bass, but the switching is unlike any other bass they offer. I just hope the neck and I can get along..

This seems to be a big hit on talkbass... the other being the Tech21 VT bass DI pedal. Great job guys. If I played 4s still I'd be over this.

Most of the Sabres I've had felt just like Stingray necks. The exceptions had narrower A width necks, like a Jazz but a bit rounder and thicker. All felt really nice, so I'm not sure why anyone would have a problem with them.

Pretty sure this was the original neck profile for the Sabres anyhow. But Brad and Caca de Kick are the experts here.

Pete,
Does this mean the whole classic collection is available in trans white? I would love a classic sterling in trans white.

This is so cool! I'm one of the 7 people that would ask BP about a Sabre Classic reissue from time to time. When I saw the Tony Levin offering of the Stingray & Sabre, I knew the reissue Sabre would be around the corner since they were tooling up for it anyway - only made sense to do the classic reissue. I've read all the threads and haven't seen any info on what date they will be hitting the streets, retail/street price, lead time after placing an order, etc....
