I always thought that the metal tuning keys did not do the AL headstock justice, especially with that beautiful Rosewood headstock!

I´d also keep both. I love the look of the perloid on rosewood necks.
I have a guitar with schallers, the guitar was a bit neck heavy, i changed the tunerknobs to ebony , problem solved.

and the screws fit the same? (or did you just use the old screws?)

Wow those pearloid tuner pegs look so good! I've always loved them on the JP models too.

the guitar is a Hamer Monaco chambered with a f hole. The original buttons were the big Schaller ones that weight about 150 gr,the ebony ones were at least 50 gr. It worked fine and the guitar looks much better with the new buttons.
