I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on my first Music Man now that I've bid farewell to my Les Paul.
Question: Has anyone heard anything at all about what the 2013 PDN (Petrucci) package/color will be or when it will be announced?
Thanks!

I believe the pdn was just a limited thing for last year. It's not a continual thing; however, sometimes the dealers get limited editon colors. Other than the JP13 (which isn't really a limited edition), I doubt they will do limited editions on the jp's this year.

Well the PDN is completely unknown. There may not be a JP PDN package this year. It may be only for a specific model or what not. But you have PLENTY of JP models to choose from which are all awesome.

PDN is a continual thing. It might not be every year as EBMM have not published a release-schedule, but it's continual. But they have had limited editions on the JP's almost every year for a very long time now.

The PDN packages are new within the last 2 years and are issued from time to time. Currently the timing seems to be no new PDNs until the last batch has been built & shipped. The latest PDN package was limited to the Sabre bass and the "Classic" StingRay bass (no guitars, no other basses) and they haven't hit the streets yet. My bet would be that we won't see a new PDN package until some/all of those have shipped. We also don't know until release time if the package will be for one specific model, just guitars, just basses, or a particular assortment of instruments.

I love it. Added a push pull for coil tapping and now it's perfect.
I love the amount of Bird Eyes in my neck. I've seen others where it doesn't show up as much.
I feel in love with this one cause I wanted a 7 string KOA but I was afraid it would sound too far from my Les Pauls.
This one being all mahogany I figured would not require a whole new set of patches. The pickups run hotter but at about 9 I can utilize the same set of patches, especially on the cleans. The coil tapping also helps with that as well.

A couple more shots.

Man...

Whoever came up with the PDN concept is a Marketing GENIUS even if they did not intend to be.
