Luke III neck

if i want a LIII it's because he haven't EMG
maybe he would have EMG X like true gold i'll be ok
that's depend of each of us there is no "best or better than "
there is just the guitar we love
even after got the LIII (in a few years....)
i would like to find a L1 just to have one and have the pleasure to play one
and after i would like to have a true gold because is just a true gold ...and a great guitar
etc......

I have an LIII. Adore the neck. It changed my opinion on non-baseball bat fat neck guitars. Is the Morse neck in the ballpark size wise? They do have similar specs on the EBMM page, but different frets.

To me yes. I have 8 EBMM guitars and the two that feel the most similar to me are my Y2D and Luke III.

it's just a feeling because they haven't the same Neck Width and frets

Morse y2D : Frets:22 - High profile, wide
Neck Width:1-5/8" (41.3 mm) at nut, 2-1/4" (56.9 mm) at last fret
L III :Frets:22 - Low profile, wide
Neck Width:1-5/8" (41.3 mm) at nut, 2-3/16" (55.6 mm) at last fret

i've 2 axis
one super sport 2years old and one axis 16 years old they have in theory the same neck both are all maple
in real they haven't the same feeling
old axis is more asymmetric more comfortable(surely because more played) and the frets seems not the same than the super sport
i think more you'll play the L3 more your feeling will change more the setting will be your setting

I believe it's simply because Luke currently prefers the maple neck. Big Poppa always says they build what the artist wants. Personally, I love the rosewood neck on my LIII.

The necks on the L3 are now roasted maple. Some dealers (like us) still have rosewood neck models in stock.
