G'day, I'm new to the forum, and am looking to buy my first EBMM. (Not sure what took me so long) I was dead keen on the Jpx 7.. Until I saw pics of the Jp13... Wow, talk about throwing a spanner in the works!
Does anyone have any idea on pricing for the new ones?
Sorry if it has been discussed already

I don't know if this info will be available before it hits resellers, but since JPX-JPXI-JP12 have similar prices, it should be near that isn't it ?

Yeah I thought they'd be comparable in price to the last three but with the added features (lead boost,push/pull pots etc) was thinking they may be a couple hundred more?
Guess we'll have to wait and see...patiently

Thanks mate, good to hear, unfortunately we don't get too many JP models to try out in this part of the world. Might have to go out on a limb and take a chance importing one.
After reading thousands of reviews and spec sheets, I'm confident I'll grow to love it.
Maybe a used Jpx 7 might magically show up in my inbox... haha ;)

Wow !! Quoted a whopping $4040 dollars for the Jp13 7 string. A massive mark up of around $1400 dollars from the U.S prices.
Could just about book a trip from Australia to the States and pick it up for that. Ridiculous!

Oh and sorry Pete. It took me a little while to grasp the fact that U.S dealers can't sell to other countries. Lesson learnt, cheers!

Many people have made an international trip to purchase guitars in the USA because of the price difference and exchange rate because the US dealers are not permitted to sell new guitars internationally. You are certainly more than welcome to visit!

Keep in mind that the higher price in Australia (and any other country) is due to transport fees, import taxes, distributor markup (to cover promotion, warranty, warehousing) and then finally dealer pricing.

Yes thanks for that mate, understandably, a business has to make a profit, and I am all for supporting local businesses, but honestly who could justify buying local here when your forking out that much. Maybe getting a U.S shipping address from a shipping company, and buying U.S would be the more feasible option.
From a re-sell point of view, if buy some rare event happened and I had to let it go, I wouldn't go close to making my money back.
Some further pondering to be done!

Worth noting that the warranty covers the guitar in the region you buy it. If you buy in the US, you'll need to sent it back to the US for service, should you need it. One of the many reasons international pricing is higher.

It is a shame but all you guys across the pond pay some outrageous prices for many major brand name guitars. I get 4 UK gear publications monthly and when I see the guitars for sale in pounds and translate the currency in my head I think =Wow lol. There are quite a few non US members on the forum with pretty big collections who had to shell out some serious scratch for those guitars. As stated it is a taxes and fees that manufacturers really have no control over.

I payed almost the equivalent of 4000$ for my DDII. So yes, Music Man in Europe is just disgustingly expensive.
Worth it though as it is the best guitar I've ever played.
