Hello,

Besides Basscentral, ebay and craigslist, are there any good sources for Bongo basses? I know there's also very limited variety on the online stores like AMS, MusiciansFriend and music123..but would love to see another store like Basscentral out there as an alternative with a selection. Am I just dreamin?

Thanks,
Joe

I always recommend Pete DuBaldo at, shockingly, DuBaldo Music.

Also, the Perfect Bass has some nice stuff.

It's not all bad news out there, eh?

The Perfect Bass has a 4HS Bongo with piezos for a shockingly good price on a demo bass. And, they always provide great pictures of any "demo love taps" so you know exactly what you are getting. It looks like some scratches on the pickup plastic is all that's noteworthy on the one I'm talking about.

If you want new to spec, Pete is a good way to go. But, if you want In Stock, the Perfect Bass has a nice variety (lots of Big Al single H--an underrated champion of a bass) and don't leave stuff up after it's sold (like some others do--nothing worse than getting your heart set on a bass only to find out it sold months ago and it was left up on the website).

amen to the "phantom goodness" practiced by some shop, they spin it as "archive" but if so, then set up an archive page, sheesh.

What about Talkbass, they usually have a couple Bongos for sale on there all the time. They have a few right now ! FS: Pedulla Thunderbolt 5, EBMM Bongo 5 - TalkBass Forums
