It's the best machine I've ever purchased. I've got mine in a rack now and move it between studio space and live applications. I bought a mackie hd1221 and it sounds awesome at rehearsals. Just ordered a long USB type A to angled USB type b so I can connect and disconnect easily to the computer. I just recently played it through my rockerverb 100 and orange 412. Sounded good but I think the machine is best suited to FRFR setups. Keep us posted on your progress! Still waiting for firmware 10.0 and their friggin' mfc 101 to be back in stock. Has been out of stock since January and I'm getting flustered!!!!!

It's an incredible unit for sure, by all accounts will be even better when FW10 is released. There are hundreds of parameters you can tweak and you could get lost in the deep editing options but tbh there's no need to, just playing around with the basic controls is enough to give great useable tones.

High gain tones are fantastic but I use mainly cleaner stuff, like the Fender and Two Rock models because I'm getting old now.

It is by far the best unit I've ever owned but does need to be set up right for your system, preferably with FRFR speakers, and setting the I/O levels and routing correctly. Fortunately there is plenty of help available on Fractal forum which is a little bit 'fractious' at the moment due to delays in releasing the software editor but that should all pass soon enough.

In all honesty, If Im pleased with the factory patches running through cheap krk's I can't even imagine how good it's going to sound when I go pick up Adam's today and start tweaking. Tshow, do yourself a favor and just buy it. Right out the box it sounds good to me and I've read how people think the factory patches aren't that good so its only going to get better! I don't think I'll be needing a tube amp anymore.

o man... the gf is going to be pissed lol. I went to gc today with the intention of getting a set of the new entry level adam f5 monitors. Spent a few hours there and left with the Adam A7X's lol. Let me tell you, they don't look that big in the store but when they're set up in the bedroom a bit on the large side...yea baby! Guy gave me $300 off so it only made sense to buy them. More tweaking and pics tomorrow

Congrats!! Next to my EBMM's, the AxeFX II and Matrix GT1000FX power amp were a couple of my best purchases. This combo sounds killer through my Mesa 4x12 and now my Mark V stays at home for gigs. I might just have to change my screen name

Congrats on the new acquisition! I got fractalized about four years ago and haven't had much use for my tube gear since then. I'm finally getting around to selling it all off.

I just got some Equator Audio Q8 monitors last week and they're mighty impressive. They get mighty loud and have wonderful balance. The AxeFx definitely takes advantage of whatever speaker quality you have. It sounds good with decent speakers (I started with some cheapo M-Audio speakers) but gets better with clearer monitoring.

tell me about it, I had some cheapo krk's when it came in lol. Still sounded good but man, when I hooked those Adam's up it was night and day. I went with the Adam because it seems like everyone on the forum was recommending them.
