Negotiated a deal for this beauty yesterday. To me, this has got to be the most deliciously evil JP ever produced. I think it will be a dedicated djent-type guitar! Here's some pics sent to me yesterday. I'll update with new pics when it arrives.

Also, thinking about going with a set of these.

Bare Knuckle Aftermath 7 String Pickup Set Black Battleworn Covers | eBay

I've never done a pickup swap. Does anyone know A.) what string spacing I should be looking for and B.) what to look for to insure I can get all the split single coil positions that are featured with the stock pickups? Much thanks to anyone that can help answer these questions!

Supercool guitar!! If it comes to JP's this is the first on my list, in a 6 string version.

Black sugar, roasted maple is excellent, I wouldn't mind all my guitars to be black sugar roasted maple....

Regarding the pickup swap;
A) string spacing is uniform across seven string pickups (ie there's no f-spaced/standard spaced)
B)to be able to split the coils, the pickups need to be the 4 conductor model
C) I'm 99% sure those covered BKPs will not fit without modification (ie routing to enlarge the pickup cavity)

Im so jealous btw. Hands down my favourite JP seven string of all time! If you ever decide to sell this, please let me know.

Also, thinking about going with a set of these.

Ben, that guitar is f'ing amazing. I tried one (a 6 string) at the Philly guitar show last year (or was it the year before) and it was killer. Enjoy!

Yeah man. Very impressive instrument. Think I'm going to commit to the pickup change as long as there are no modifications to the body. Should be cool!

Nice - I love the Black Sugar Roasted Maple package. My BSRM Axis is my #1 guitar, and has been for two years straight. Love it.

I'm so friggin' stoked right now. Got a hold of these guys and Nick really took his time advising me on which pickup set to go with. I really wanted the battle worn covers which will require a little routing. I'm not willing to touch my guitar with a file so I'm sending it off for a proper install. Went with a calibrated set of war pigs. Should look and sound brutal when it gets back. I'm so stoked!
