Way to go Mike! :) The BB Preamp is unbeatable me thinks.

Some nice set ups guys.

Anybody a big fan of chorus here? I mostly like it on the clean channel, but I am really not happy with my Corona. I am really intrigued by the Analogman bi-chorus. I think that would be perfect for my modulation needs, with two settings.

Again, I have to reiterate how amazing the XTS Atomic OD is. If anyone here is looking for a high gain pedal, check this one out. It is the Marshall flavor type distortion unit, but can do some great scooped metal tones, and really amazing for lead work as well. Absolutely floored by the tone of this pedal every time I plug in...along with the rest of my board (Corona being the weakest link right now).

I have the The TC Dreamscape pedal which is has presets for flanger, chorus, and vibrato -2 each (one optimized for distorted guitar, other clean) plus a toneprint (will accept all Corona toneprints) I put on a Paul Gilbert chorus.

Personally I like a very subtle chorus, one that you really don't notice until you turn it off. I have gone thru plenty of chorus pedals. The one I truly liked the best was the Hardwire CR7. I sold it because I didn't have space for it and the Dreamscape (which is more versatile) and do miss it. I was able to dial it in exactly how I wanted to. Now that TC has the toneprint editor available I need to find the time to see if I can dial in that chorus I like !!

I like the first one better Ben hehe. I have absolutely no doubt that the Fractal fits all the needs and you can dial in millions of different sounds and presets. I personally have thought long and hard about the whole thing, and realized that I need to concentrate on my playing more than tweaking and twisting knobs every day. That is also why I limited myself to the PT-Jr so I wouldnt go crazy with all kinds of other effects.

The only thing left for me to complete my board is replacing the Corona chorus, adding one more delay (either Strymon El Capistan or MXR Carbon Copy) and eventually I would like to set it up with the Musicomlab switcher to be able to do presets and change channel on the amp instead of dancing around.

Roubster if I may ask, what are you not satisfied with as far as the corona goes? I find that mine does a good job with cleans especially in the tri-chorus mode. It can give a great sort of shimmer effect to a guthrie govan type prominent swirl.

It just does not sit in the mix too well for me. I think it is just too subtle and clean sounding. I know there are the toneprints, but another thing I really dislike is the foot switch...it seems kind of silly, but it feels way too flimsy for me and many times I've had to stomp on it more than once to turn it on or off. When I do use chorus I want it to be a bit more prominent and darker sounding as well. And I just dont feel like messing with the toneprint thing. I want a effect that does whatever I need well from the beginning. That's also why I got rid of the Flashback x4. Great sounding delays overall, but the Empress Tape Delay I got is just superior for what I'm looking for.

Hey luv, how is the TC Ditto working out for ya?

So far, so good, DrKev. Nice and simple form factor....maybe a bit too simple. I would like to see a two switch version of it for stopping loops without having to double tap. The sound quality is really good and it gets the job done for what I need it to do, which is lay down a foundation to improvise over. I'd never had a looper before and I noticed that after I started using it, my practice became instantly more musical and more focused. I don't know that I would use it for live application or not. It might be a bit basic for that purpose.

So just resurecting my own thread. Made a few changes on my board and I'm very happy I did. Changed the Corona for the Callisto which is an all analog chorus and does an amazing job for vibrato tones as well. Sounds so much fuller and lush compared to the Corona. Also replaced the polytune with the turbo tuner...the switches on the TC pedals just turned me off from their stuff. Plus the turbo tuner is much more accurate and tracks much faster.

Also added the EP booster finally. It's after my other drives for a boost and to really fatten up the tone. Really loving it right now. Only thing left I can think of would be add a phaser later on and also thinking of adding the relatively new Suhr Buffer to drive my signal when I run everything in front of an amp.

Any updates for you guys?

Great pedalboard. I've made a few changes too - no picture at the moment. My front of the amp path is Polytune>Wampler EGO Compressor>Barber Small Fry>Suhr Riot>RetroSonic Phaser - AMP

Then my amp loop is TC Vortex>TC Corona>Boss DD20>Lizard Legs Flying Dragon Boost...

I absolutely love the Flying Dragon Boost. One knob, very transparent boost.

I recently changed out my board. I was using a Pedal Pad MPS-XL that I modded with locking netruix connectors & an external power plug. Those are great boards but sooooo darn heavy once they're filled with pedals.

I sold it and bought a Pedal Train Pro. Everything is so much easier to lug around now especially with the soft case with a shoulder strap.

I like it after the dirt section of the pedals. It smooths everything out and kicks it up a bit. I run the knob almost all the way down because I keep it engaged all the time as a tone enhancer...but work great if you actually want to boost the signal for a solo if you turn it up to like noon or more. Before the dirt it just adds more gain, which I dont really need with the 3 dirt pedals I already have. I use the BB Preamp as a gain boost for the Flux and the Atomic whenever I want.

For me it's my MXR Carbon Copy Delay, Boss Super Chorus and EVH Flanger. I'm on the way of adding a wah pedal and a phaser, still looking around as to which one to get. For distortion right now I'm using a Wampler Triple Wreck.
