Hi all,

I am gassing for the new pick up set from the Luke III - I've read in here that Dimarzio recommends their Paul Gilbert single coils (can't remember their names) - BUT....have anyone tried it ?

Paul plays an Injector in the neck, and an Area 67 is I believe what his middle position pickup is. Dimarzio told me that the LukeIII single coil pups are similar to the Injector. I will eventually be doing this, but the almighty dollar is not on my side at the moment. I really wish Dimarzio would make the exact same single coil pickups that are in the LukeIII available for purchase.

Ok - I think I'm gonna try that combination in my strat - Then I won't need to make a custom order from Dimarzio.

I'm willing to bet they are Injectors.

Good luck getting the pickups - I tried ordering the Luke Transistion pickups shortly after they were announced and was told by Long and McQuade (Toronto) that it was not possible to order them and that Dimarzio do this a fair bit - that is, hype their products a long time before they actually make them available for purchase.
