So I got my Liii on Friday and I haven’t touched any other guitars since… I’m even thinking about selling my Jem to get another EB MM… but that’s a discussion for another thread.

I was just wondering about the boost though… do any of you leave the boost on all of the time? I find that I like the boost on all of the time and rarely ever turn it off.

I only use boost for lead work but if it suits you leaving it on all the time then go for it.
Well done on the guitar. The Luke's are great.

Very found of my L3 too!!!

Actually, I leave mine off all the time and use it to boost solo's. Great feature huh!

I am thrilled with mine as well! I go back and forth with the boost depending on the tune that i am playing. I use a few different overdrive pedals and find that the boost is accepted by them differently. I have a rosewood neck version and am totally in love with the feel.

haha - Many of the regulars here have gotten rid of their old gear after playing the ebmms. Even what was once deemed their "forever gear". Myself included.

The emerald green sparkle was available on every model except for gamechanger and Armada I think. LIII is an excellent choice.. A nearby guitarshop in Belgium did order a HSS version in this color...

Mine is used to piss off my sound man when I feel my solo isn't cutting through the mix. Sometimes I have to look down to make sure its not engaged. I don't like it for cleans, but it adds nice spice to anythig edgy or crunchy!

Hi Mike,

I ordered the Luke III because I don't like H-S-S pickup configurations. I'm looking forward to trying the Transition pickups. Most of my guitars are Axii, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I enjoyed having the tonal variety my Morse offered me. So, I'm looking forward to the Luke pickups.

Have a nice fourth of July!

Tollie - you will not be disappointed. They are my favorites as well. They have a fantastic clarity even when gained up high, yet sound pristine clean too....

The Boost is great on the single coils, I have the HH and HSS Luke 3.

HOWEVER, beware that some overdrives don't agree with the pickups when the boost is on. It shorts them out or something and it fizz's out.

I'm getting there...I've decided to try a new model since I'm feeling well covered in the Axis department.
The arm carve on the Luke III will be a welcome change for me.
