This is why I am willing to buy EBMM and not bitch about the price. When you consider what your getting in comparison to other brands, its a bargain. When it is possible, I would much rather my dollars support USA companies and its citizens. A company that treats its workers fairly is going to go to the top of the list.

Totally agree with rjudo.

Even though I don't live in the US, I always want to take my hard earned $ to a company with values that I'm reflected with...not only the product is essential (and in this case MM is top notch) but also knowing what the company stands for and the way they do business is almost as important.

Way to go EBMM!!

I made a post in the thread this was originally in and it got locked while I was typing so I was unable to make the post. EBMM simply put is one of the best companies there is. Despite what was said by an individual who has since been banned, BP truly does care. Look at his charity work with the Casey Lee Ball foundation as well as what he has done for a few member on here me being one when my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I also look at the PDN order last year. I ordered a Bongo 4 HHp. The only one in that configuration ordered. Unfortunately, the dealer lost my order and I had not put a deposit down. It was not discovered until after all of the builds were made. I figured I was out of luck and was bummed but also understood it would be a hardship to go back and build just one bass by itself after he fact. Well, EBMM being who they are, when they found out, told the dealer they would build the bass after the fact. Again, the customer service blew me away on something they did not have to do and I would not have been mad if they didn't do that.

Some can call me a fan boy and that is okay but I truly do love EBMM products for not only making some of the best instruments and strings in the business but because of how the company is. This is why when people ask me what gear I use, I tell them I use only Music Man!

However, the climate (in America) is not that friendly to American Companies, you're kinda "on your own" here.

I hope BP is able to endure and persevere through the coming years, being that he contributes to many families who otherwise may not even have a job, as well as produces what I consider the absolute finest guitars made.

I will continue to support his company as I have for decades!

Being an employer carries with it a social responsibility which very often gets overlooked when employers are portrayed in the media as greedy capitalists, especially here in the UK. Like BP I recognise the importance of treating employees with respect and offering great working conditions, not just from a commercial perspective but from a moral stance.

You don't have to be ruthless to run a successful company, especially if you want to sleep at night.

I totally agree...

and on top of all that Sterling is one heck of a memory genius... when i ran into him at NAMM a few years back... When Pete (Dubaldo) officially introduced me... Sterling without skipping a beat... "You're PETERD79... from the Forum..."

i was blown away...

but to see how much Sterling cares about his employees really solidifies my position of playing ONLY MusicMan guitars... if buying EBMM guitars supports my fellow Californians and helps in ever so little way of helping pay tuition for students I'm 100% behind everything Ernie Ball MusicMan...

I agree, BP and gang are an awesome bunch of folks. I'm sure that Sterling has so much more that wasn't even listed on there that he does, not only for the company, but for his family, friends, etc.. The guy wears his heart on his sleeve, it shows it. It is sad that he takes the brunt of it when public attacks just surface. We all are in BP's corner. Fanboy or not, I love the products and everything that comes with it.
