E30632 - DOB: 05/07/02, Autumn Red Burst SR5. You might try replacing the battery and bending up the brass tabs on the batt box up so they get better contact. Otherwise, the preamp is actually the active component on your bass, and it might need to be replaced. Give us a call at (866)823-2255 and we'll get you taken care of.

Hello! I'm a new member looking for birth info about my MM Bass. It is either entirely or partly pre-EB, from the descriptions I have read about. I tried the suggestion above and entered a message with serial number but the website/server isn't responsive. Is there another resource you know of that may be helpful to me? Thank you, JFnM.

musicmanbass.org is really the only other resource for finding info on pre-EB MM serial numbers. If you can find a serial number that is in the same ballpark as yours, and can probably give you a pretty good estimate as to when your bass was built.

I have a Musicman SUB bass #X09358. I would like to know any info there is about it. Thanks

Seriously? I have a natural here. Black pickguard, ash body and maple neck (i'am a little unsure about that).

demon, I double-checked the SN you gave me and it's still coming up as a black SR5. Either the body was refinished, neck plates were swapped, or the SN is wrong. Please check again and re-post.

E28569 is the serial number of a stingray I just picked up. Beautiful turquoise, pearl pick guard, maple fretboard flamed neck. Most stunning instrument I've ever owned. Looking for year and any other info. Thanks,

I would like to know my Sting Ray's DOB. S/N E43666. I think it is from 2008 or 2009. It was the floor demo at my local Guitar Center and the only Sting Ray they had in stock at the time. I'm hoping it's not much older than that.

poit57, I don't think we've ever put out a serial number that starts with "EB". Also, "EB43666" is one letter/digit too long to be one of our serial numbers. Would you mind sending pictures of the bass and neck plate to me at [email protected] please? Thanks!

E26652 - DOB: 12/04/01, trans purple SR4-H, 2-band EQ, ashwood body, maple neck/ fretboard, white pearl PG.
Trans purple is a discontinued finish which I believe was only offer in '01 and '02, so it is fairly rare.
