Hello all!

I've again realised that the cycle of buying new EBMM gear never stops. It's very addictive.

But, I've basically got the perfect set of basses, and not only that, I feel extremely lucky to have been able to get such a fine collection.

What EBMM bass should be next?!

I love the thought of a Sterling HH (maybe even a 4 string) or another Big Al....(the Big AL is just superb).

I just ordered a new Sterling 5-HH in Vintage Sunburst with Rosewood and matching headstock a couple of weeks ago. I've owned a ST5-HH before and always regretted selling it. Really looking forward to its arrival early in the new year.

I realized that I miss one fretless 5 string bass with piezo!

I wonder, which one could it be?

Answer is pretty obvious if You follow me on this forum!

I am definitely considering the following:

Reflex 5 HH - Tang Pearl
Sterling 4 HH - Sunburst or Natural
Bongo 5 H - Possibly with a piezo....
Big Al 5 SSS - Sky Blue/maple fretboard.

Hmmmmm.....

As I see your list, you have warmer covered, you need the most aggressive bass out there & thats a Sterling with its ceramic pickups, ash body & a maple neck man.

Reflex has mahogany tone block to warm it up, Big al is all mahogany!
Bongo 5H is bass wood plus rosewood
Stingrays with alincos wired in parallel are also "warmer" than a Sterling

All those will be much warmer than a Sterling with a maple board

How about a classic sabre? Or maybe a Reflex?

I have the same dilemma as you - and then what colour!! Diego blue sabre I'd say - not sure with reflex but white and pacific blue burst look good.

This question has come back...the reason being I am no longer buying a car due to circumstances of work/etc meaning I don't need to own one! Cheeky bass instead!??!? :p
