Let's set the scene .. I'm back in the hotel .... it's midnight ...I've been out listening to swing jazz (9 piece band some of which are >85 years old !!! - a la Buena Vista S.C. ----- and I've had lot's of Capt Morgans Rum).

I log in and catch this thread .. listen to the track.

Great stuff Tim ... who would say (without knowing) that the sequence you played was on an Albert - great stuff)

Now I don't know whether it's the copious amounts of dark rum or the crappy netbook speakers - and I love hammond players. but the keyboard mix was "hitting me in my left side amalgam fillings" - how strange is that but it's a fact.

I liked the track and I'd love to have a keyboard player like yours - just bring him down a bit in the mix (when his back is turned lol).

Great stuff.

More RUM !!!!

Spud,

As Chairman and CEO of the ALOC this is high praise indeed!

I listened back to the track on my Bose speakers and the Hammond seems to sit ok, though I did not mix it. It could be that Rum or more likely your laptop speakers!

Ben is quite the catch. He is not available for all Dirty Rumors shows, but when he is free its quite the treat!

Tim, that tone is incredible. It sounds so "professionally" recoreded. Great tasteful playing, also. Mayabe #10 for me will be an AL????

don´t know much about these Nords too, but I play in a small Bluesband where we have a keyboard player who uses a Nord too adnd it sounds fantastic. I think they are really good and not that cheap as far as he told me
Thank you!

Its a real keyboard player, but not a real organ. I believe Ben used a Nord, though I know nothing about it than its red!

Thank you! It was recorded in the bass players garage direct into a Pre-Sonus digital board, then recorded into a Mac Book Pro. The guy who sings is a sound engineer by trade, so he seems to know what he is doing!

As I may have mentioned, my signal path was ALHH -> Boss SD1 -> Line 6 Duoverb -> Board. I was very pleased with the tone I got.

My favorite tone from this session was from the warmup jam:

My solo at 2.24 is probably my favorite tone from the whole session!
