Congrats on these Beauts

Long time lurker but short time member.

First of all, EBMM's are like Chips, you can't have just one. Bought a used 93 Silo fell in love, then proceeded to order a CRS JP6, Diego Blue AL and my soon to arrive Tangerine Pearl JP6 with rosewood neck. LOVE LOVE LOVE the guitars and the brand.

Newbie question. I see on the vendor site that I ordered through they have a JP6 Tangerine Pearl on order with a rosewood neck. I assume that is the one I ordered, but what concerns me is that it states fully loaded. I am hoping that the head isn't painted as that would hide some of the beauty of the rosewood. I was under the assumption that they didn't paint the rosewood heads. Is this the case that they don't paint the rosewood?

If I recall correctly, the headstocks are satin finished and will not match the body.

Great, good to know. Thanks guys. I am happy either way with satin or gloss, was just hoping for the face of the head not to be painted. Man, I am like a little kid waiting for this. Timing is almost perfect for my birthday only coming three days later.

Beautiful! I would have ordered a Koa BFR Petrucci with a rosewood neck but I came across a steal on the Koa with the regular neck and couldn't turn it down. I'd love another someday soon!

The original rosewood necks had a gloss finish and BFR inlay, the 2014 rosewood necks have a matte finish and standard inlays.

Pete,

I understand you to say that rosewood necks, prior to just a couple months ago, *always* branded with the BFR badge - is that correct?

I was *kinda* wanting to special order a Morse with a rosewood neck, but was waffling around, until I saw this thread posted: http://forums.ernieball.com/music-man-guitars/58278-psa-2-ever-see-rosewood-morse.html

And then I had to jump on this:

You're welcome :D:D:D:cool:

BTW - I assume you've gotten into the house on the QT....does the better half know about it yet? Any flat spots on your head from the frying pan (I ask from experience :))? :).
