I am renting an Ernie Ball Musicman StingRay 5 with the option to buy. The serial number, found on the bridge is 56010. Can you give me an idea of when it was "born"? Thanks. I see that most postings show a letter. There is none on this bass.
There is also a metal battery cover and no numbers on the neck plate - could it be a phoney?

April 18th, 1995... it's real. We used to put the serial number on the bridge with no letter and used to use the metal battery cover.
