SR5 single H, back position parallel, middle position is rear coil, and front position is series. These layouts are on the MM site for every model in every configuration under specs.

You mean by rewiring them of is there just a switch to flip or something

Either you guys are miss understanding my question or I was not clear.

Sanderhermans said SR5 can be run in series or parallel. I then asked if that would be by rewiring it to series or if maybe there was a switch to switch between series and parallel (maybe under the pg or something) he said it was a switch so my next question is where is that switch?

oh my god, i don't want to be offensive, but are you a bit slow? :p
you clearly have never seen a ebmm bass in person.... people have even posted diagrams that show the position of the switch.
if you would just take a look at the ebmm website before posting here this entire post wouldn't even be necessary.

Clearly YOU are not looking at the diagram. My question stemmed from the fact that the first diagram shows all positions to be in parallel and I asked of the SR 5 was always parallel. YOU said the SR5 can be series or parallel. I asked if it had to be rewired or is it via a switch (Ala the reflex guitar) YOU said switch. If YOU are now attempting to tell me that YOU meant the 5 way pup selector then YOU are mistaken because it shows all 5 positions to be parallel

Brokenvail.... did u even look at this second pic that was posted earlier? Sr5 series parallel and single switch.

Or did u maybe assume it was the 1st pic reposted and not actually read of the content?

I can't believe I'm replying to this thread, but oh well... It should be noted that the current single humbucker StingRay 5 has two series settings. The middle position on a current single humbucker StingRay 5 is both coils in series with a filter applied. The correct schematic is cfd_stingray5_alnico2008_h.

That aside, the classic StingRay tone has always been both coils wired in parallel. The only way to have series on a dual humbucker Music Man bass would be to have a Sterling, Sterling 5, Reflex, or Reflex 5. Series can be had on single humbucker Music Man basses with the Sterling, Sterling 5, Classic Sterling, Reflex, Reflex 5, Big Al, or Big Al 5.
