NGD Luke 1, look at all those floyds =)

I picked up this up from ZakkD, a forum member here. It's a 95 blue pearl Luke 1. I got it a little over a week ago, and had it set up at my local shop where the island's resident floyd guru is. I've been enjoying it for the last 3 days.

Thanks to ZakkD for a great deal and for being an awesome forum member! Thanks again bro!

I love the Luke with the floyd. For me it really is the perfect guitar. I searched all over for a reissue of the Luke 1 in blue however there were none to be found in the US unfortunately. I seriously considered retrofitting a luke 2 or 3 with the floyd as well but when this one became available it was a no brainer.

This one in particular plays very well, so I couldn't be happier that I picked it up. It's a keeper for sure.

Awesome. Love my Luke I's. It's great that you have one in all of the released colors!

Every now and then I think about looking for a pearl red one, then decide that 1 is enough. LOL

Kimonostereo, I was going for the trifecta of sorts with the colors to be honest. I still may pick up another luke w/floyd in the future. I keep trying other guitars and the luke wins every time. The neck is 'just right'.

Other guitars like the axis and silo are close, but the Luke is perfect. I've tried several other guitars at Dans Guitars recently, the reflex, silo special, a used suhr, etc.. they are all fantastic guitars. The most recent was the Schon PRS hollow body, (which is full-floating-floyd equipped incidentally). That's what caught my eye to be honest. Floyds rule! It's freaking gorgeous, has awesome appointments and style, and it sounds awesome. But, for me, it doesn't play like the luke. If it did, I would be saving for one as they are pricey.

I'm fairly certain the combo of the neck profile and the low wide frets on the Luke are the 'secret sauce' for me. This combo facilitates my playing greatly. I have a hard time on jumbo fret guitars. I was at Dan's playing the Schon and I had a fairly difficult time with the jumbo frets on the guitar, not sure if it was just the frets or the neck profile and fret combo.

Any way, this is a long story to make a point...In my opinion...you can never have enough luke 1's.
