Okay, so I finally finished modding my Silo Special. The bridge now has a Suhr DSH+, and the neck pup has a new Dimarzio Air Norton. The guitar comes alive now!!! I had issues with how to wire the neck (hum cancelling) pup based on the silent circuit. Dimarzio didn't offer a lot of help, but were definitely helpful with my lack of electronic knowledge.Beej(our moderator-in-chief) went above and beyond all expectations to help. That guy rocks. He took time out to draw a professionally modified wiring diagram based on a diagram sent to me from EBMM. I'm not sure what criteria BP uses to select his moderators, but he definitely got it right with Beej. Stellar dude!!
AJ and Billy at EBMM were also very instrumental in this process. Thanks again to Beej, AJ and Billy at EBMM for all of your help in this endeavor. I played my BFR Tobacco bust ASS right after my Silo Sp. and they now sound eerily similar. Here's one satisfied customer!

And thank you my friend for the pickup recommendation. Yes, the silo and 25th are going to be my main players. Versatile and very comfy.:D:D

Swithwicks? Is that what people drink in Louisiana?? Egads!

I'd like a nice IPA myself, or failing that a well pulled Guinness.

There I go with stereotypes, sorry. I'm a big IPA fan. Try Stone IPA from San Diego, or Ranger by New Belgium(Colorado). And no, we Louisianians drink Abita beer. They also do a great pale ale. Goes great with crawfish this time of year. Sorry for hijacking!!!

So how are you enjoying that DSH+? It's an absolutely killer bridge pickup. Better than almost anything I have heard to date.

Lets see some pictures!

Unfortunately, nothing much aesthetically has changed. Swapped a white bridge humbucker for a white bridge humbucker and a white neck pup for a white neck pup. Killer sounds though. If I had some talent & gear, I'd do a sound clip. But that's way too sophisticated for me.
