Just got this a few weeks ago and got around to recording a clip of it like I usually do with my NGDs. This guitar has the best figuring I’ve seen so far from this Rosewood Run, almost looks like Cocobolo at first glance but it’s just a gorgeous cut of Rosewood! Less words, more pictures! Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite instruments, and it’s very easy to love all of them but this one is simply just eye candy. From the aforementioned neck, and the Mystic Dream Finish being as excellent as it is, it really lends itself to being stared at! I’ve come to the decision that the standard is by far the coolest JP Style in my opinion. It is SO comfortable that playing my BFR’s and Anniversary models seems like something I would only do in the studio while recording. Doesn’t mean they’re not as good, but these are just too comfy!
Tone wise, this thing is bright and snappy in the best possible way. Not in the way a maple neck’d guitar is bright or snappy but a less abrasive brightness, it is brighter than the Koa and my other JP6 White Pearl with Rosewood. I want to say this is due to wood density, but I wouldn’t accurately know. I’m actually very comfortable with the pickups, just need to raise the neck pickup a tad. Sounds cool but is slightly weaker in volume from the Crunchlab because it’s lower than the bridge.
I highly recommend tracking one of these down if you can, it’s honestly completely worth it and the necks feel incredible. I’m actually quite excited at how much this and my others inspire me to write some music, I’ll hopefully share some of those tracks once I get done writing and recording them soon!
Thanks for checking it out!
