I would go for sterling just because the big al always has a mahogany body so there will be no difference in sound there....

Except for the roasted maple neck and fb.

The maple fb is what I'll miss out on with the fretless. It will have the Pao Ferro fb but I decided last year my next purchase would be a fretless. I was just waiting for the right limited edition to make the purchase.

This is the one!!

Hey AJ,

Peeking over at the geetar side I read mention of the BFR with the neptune. Are any bass models available with a figured top? Not sure i can afford it, but doesn't hurt to ask eh?

I don't mind paying an upcharge and getting the BFR inlay! is there any chance of having a BFR bass? what does it need to qualify as BFR?

Thanks!

Unfortunately I didn't order a PDN bass. I did however realise I want to play guitar more (shock!!! horror!!!!) after starting to write more music, so I ordered a non-PDN Albert Lee HH.

The cool thing is, the Albert Lee HH is all rosewood neck as standard. YUM.

Nice!

I was tempted to change my order to the Big Al 5 SSS.

Just wish there were images of the Stingray, Bongo, Big Al so I could make a more educated decision.

Not that I think I can go wrong with another Bongo 5. It's simply flawless.

I got my order in for a Bongo 5 HSp last night. I've got two Stingray SLOs (fretted and fretless), this will be my first foray into the Bongo world.

I love my Bongos! Trust me, you can't go wrong with a Bongo! This PDN will be my 4th Bongo!

My name is Elias and I'm a bassaholic
