Silhouette Special ordering options

Hello!

I have a question regarding guitar options.

I'm curious, if I opt to order sunburst Silhouette Special HSS with trem, is it possible to get birdseye maple neck and fretboard as an option, and also, is it possible to get roasted birdseye maple neck? How much do these options cost?

Hello there. Necks are luck of the draw, so there's no way to specify the amount of birdseye.

As for roasted ... it's not an option on the Silhouette. Occasionally it's offered as a limited package (the "PDN" package from this year and last had roasted necks for any instrument), but then you have to go with the other options from those packages (colour, etc.)

Unfortunately, the answer to both questions is "no".

Figured maple for necks is harder to come by than in the past, it's usually reserved for the limited edition instruments and artists signature models. The only guitar that has roasted maple as standard is the LIII. Other than that it is only available in limited edition runs.

Speaking of limited runs, the current Premier Dealer Network (PDN) limited edition run is just starting to hit the stores now (Transparent Neptune Blue, mahognay body, roasted maple neck, fretboard roasted maple or rosewood). If you get in touch with EBMM Customer Service they should be able to point you in the direction of a dealer near you who will get a Silhouette Special. Short of finding a rare used limited edition, that's the only way you'll get roasted maple on a Silhouette Special.

That one with roasted neck looks beautiful. I saw a Youtube video of some redhead girl guitar player playing similar, if not exactly looking one.

That'll have been Gretschen Menn. If I recall correctly, SSS, white pearl body, roasted maple neck, ebony finger board. Very nice guitar!
