Hi guys,

I just tested brand new MM 115-B Two-Fifty (I believe I wrote well) bass combo.

What to say? The perfect match with the bass on the pic.
Modern built, look and sound vintage, ...very lightweight.

Good job Music Man and Markbass!!! :)

Im so curious what these sound like. Would love to try one out? Do these have some drive to it? Or pretty clean old school sound?

Sounds pretty close to old F Bassman amp, but cleaner, ...very loud without distortion, but it could be driven with gain knob a little bit if you wish.

What is the Markbass connection? Curious

Markbass is an official production partner and if I'm informed well, ...they build these? Correct me EBCS if I'm wrong?

My understanding is MarkBass is building these...

Exactly my thoughts...

Keko, is it possible there are two different lines of these?

Take a look at this...

Music Man combos : 115 B 250

It seems to be some Markbass outlet/distributor in Slovakia? Their price is almost 250 Euros less than Thomann's who are normally on the lower side since they're such a big operation. Just wondering!

I don't know, ...but Markbass got a few amp heads produced in Indonesia (I believe it's a LMII), so I believe it doesn't matter where is assembled, ...the point is which components are inside and how it is designed.

According to the price, ...in my dealers store is less expensive than in Germany, ...it depends from dealer to dealer and shipping & handling, I believe? Factory output price is the same worldwide I suppose?

However, ...sounds just fine to me, ...great balance between vintage and modern sound, ...plenty of power and it delivers a lots of SPL. That's what's matter.

Markbass is helping to re-issue the old combos??? Man I have been out of the loop. Will they ever be distributed in the US? And why isn't the US plant in Cal making these?

I dont want want to critisize om ebmm or sbmm. I bet these amps sound great... but. I find that both the sterling by musicman line of instruments, as the new amps are heavilly overpriced. Both lines are priced as aamerican made instruments, but are made abroad. I would think or hope that a manufacturer that produces its products extremely cheaply in these countries, would give some of that profit to the customer. But i guess not :)
