Hi there,

I'm thinking of switching out the chrome pickup switches on my mystic dream jp6, its barely a year old, but despite my best efforts (this is my second jp6) , i have not been able to keep the pickup switches and especially the accompanying washers shiny. Probably just the humid environment and my hands.

So i was thinking of changing the pickup switches to the black version, while leaving everything else chrome.
Would the black/chrome clash?

Anyone else who has done this, please share your pics with us!

The classic Telecaster has a black switch tip on a chrome control plate. Switch tips are pretty inexpensive...at least in North America...If you can get some black ones cheap give it a try.

JP's have solid 'bats' (switch levers), not screw on tips.
fwiw, I can't imagine black (or gold) finished hardware holding up as well as chrome/nickel plated...
