just got my new luke 3 friday . plugged it in, played for a while and really love it. so i took it to my gig that same night and 4th song in i broke a string. so i put it in its case for the rest of the night and used another guitar. the next day i put a new string on and i noticed that its fretting out pretty bad on the first two frets on the high e and b strings and some what on the g string. not sure what to do on this. send it back? or is there a simple adjustment i can try without jacking it up too much.

thanks

First three frets suggest truss rod. Loosen the truss rod by turning counter-clockwise. A little buzz is cool if it's not intrusive when playing through the amp (IMO).

Have you seen this?

thanks. i checked this out and i tried to turn the truss rod with enough pressure and it wont budge at all!

revised: i broke the truss rod loose and gave it a 1/4 turn or more and thats fixing things. i wonder if all the humidity that we have had here in the past few days caused this. our gig when i first got the guitar the same day was an outdoor gig and off and on rain showers throughout.

Yes, it was the humidity. Welcome to the forum.

Glad you are back in action! Though when I read your follow up and the way you worded/ Revised- I broke the truss rod, before I got to "loose" I kind of felt a little sick for ya, but Dr Kev with his brain that is twice the size as the average person comes to the rescue again lol.
