Yes they still caryy EBMM but (if memory serves me correctly) GC had a shake up last year, moving the high end but low-selling instruments to only their best performing stores.

I heard this as well. . . Although all GC's here in the local NYC area seem to have thin to healthy stock on them. . .

I visited GC San Jose four days ago and they had 5 EBMM guitars (plus bass guitars, didn't count those), they actually had a new sunburst Silhouette on sale for a really, really good price (suspect I can't mention prices here.)

The Boston GC is def one of there best selling stores, its in a major city that has a strong musical background. But im so glad to hear that they still stock ebmm! I was bummed when i didnt get to play any last visit.

Hmmmm....I went to the Fenway GC at the beginning of the month before I came home from school and they had quite the array of Majesties, JPs (original, 13, BFR I believe), and perhaps a Y2D and an Axis too. All of them behind the glass in the Platinum room.

A friend of mine is a GM for my local guitar center.

Each individual guitar center is tailored to the market they serve. What this means is if EBMM isn't a hot seller, they simply wont carry them.

For instance, mine used to carry PRS, EBMM, and the high end Ibanez sigs. They literally sat there for years and years, and in one case an Ibanez Jem7v was discounted 40% to get it to sell! Thats absurd!

So if your store doesn't carry a certain style or brand, its simply because the market doesn't support it and it was discontinued at that store.

My Guitar Center in Springfield NJ only has upper end Gibsons. Everything else is student to mid level. It is a shame because they used to carry all the high end brands. Now No Music Man except a couple of Sterlings, no Boogie, no high end Marshall
