Guitar is done* It's been routed for recessed floyd, New studs and bushings, rout painted gloss black and clear coated. Couple of other things done that the guitar needed, that joel was kind enough to address for me, ie: nut tightening, fret cleaning, and very slight block shaving. Action is set up for a shred machine of course. All it needs is an intonation*, (getting done tomorrow by Joel), then it ships home.

For those who asked about who did the job, it was done by Joel Grant at Grant guitars. He did a fantastic job in my opinion. His service was second to none, just like EBMM service, and that's setting the bar very high. I am completely satisfied at this point. Joel kept me in the loop the during the entire process of the mod with phone calls, emails, photos etc...

I'll get the guitar back next week and be able to fire it up with the FFF, fully floating floyd, just the way God intended all Floyds to be :D:p;)

Cheers,

Tom

That looks perfect, Tom.

^^What he said!

Why was new studs and brushings installed?

Looks great Tom!

Thanks guys, and Tollie and Razzle, thanks again for your inspiration!

New studs and bushings installed on recommendation of Joel who suggested it would be prudent to put something more stable than the stock screws which according to Joel, "would be way too unstable in the basswood no matter how tight you drill them, especially as time goes by and the tremolo is used a lot". Also the studs and bushings allow for improved adjustability.

Cheers,

Tom
