Question Have the specs of EBMM rear tremolo plates changed?

At the beginning of May I placed an order with Ernie Ball UK for a couple of rear tremolo plates for my Luke. Shortly after I received an email to inform me that there would be a delay in shipping. My order shipped June 16th and arrived yesterday. I was surprised to find that these plates are not the same design as the ones I purchased last year, despite being listed with the same product code. Instead of being fully covered, the new ones I received have two long holes cut in them. Is this the new style of plate, and if so, is the old style no longer available for purchase? It's not a problem, I'm just curious….

Mine is different : no long holes.

Those are the new trem covers. We no longer have stock of the old ones. Those slots allow you to adjust the trem claw without removing the back plate.
