Hey all. I've had my eye on the MM Reflex guitar: Reflex Guitar

I noticed that is says no pick guard options available, however in this video here:
the guitarist says he is using a MM Reflex, and it has a pick guard attached. Is this something custom that he did, or what?

The reason I ask is that I truly love the look of the Reflex model with the pick guard, and want to know how to achieve a similar look.

Cheers!

It's an amazing guitar. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a pickguard.

That said ... you can always get one custom made (from Chandler, etc.) and use tape to attach it. (There are a few guys here who did the same thing with the old Axis Sport guitars.)

Btw ... in that video the toggle isn't a "boost", it's a series/parallel switch for the pickups.

It does look verry cool! But my best guess is that he had this custom made bij musicman. It sure does look alot like the pickguard on one of the new models coming up (as far as i can make out from the sneak previeuws on this forum) mayebe you should wait for the new models comming out with pickguard....

It actually looks like the pickguard from the old Axis Sport. It also looks like that was a custom reflex as it has an all rosewood neck... Very cool looking guitar in that set up.

But The Reflex didn't come with chrome pickup covers, only the 25th. The Reflex body is also slightly larger than the Sport. Not sure if this isn't something custom made??? Would a Sport pick guard fit that nicely on a Reflex????? Hmmmmm....

I got me two reflex's and they're my main axes. The 25th is a very uniquely voiced axe. Quite a wide variety of tones there.

The Reflex HH & Game Changer HH have chrome covers.
On the Game Changer, the HSH version has different pickups (ceramic) and aren't covered. There are some Reflex HH special runs that the humbuckers aren't covered though IIRC.

It is the same shape, wether or not it was resized for the Reflex is anyone's guess. I would say that if that's a custom reflex and he's an endorsed artist they would make just about anything he wanted. Too bad the reflex is going away... Dean must have killed it... Lol

Thanks Mario. I didn't remember that about the Reflex.

Yup, sadly Mat is correct. Th Reflex will be available in the form of The Game Changer though so it's still sort of available.

Are you sure, Mat? I thought it was only the Reflex bass that was discontinued.
