Congrats! Welcome to the DL club!

I thought they were long sold out, but it looks like there are still a few from the first run for sale out there...hmmmm...

Xjbebop - what makes you think this is from the first run? It might be, I just can't tell from the info/pic provided thus far...

I was bidding on eBay about two weeks ago on a first run dark lord, but got sniped in the last few seconds - perhaps this is that one even?

The first run had the BFR inlay and Steve's signature on the control cover. The second run has neither.
Mine's from the second run...
Musicians friend shows to have a few in stock still, but the pictures are confusing considering the info above.
Perhaps I don't have all the facts straight..??

Xjbebop - am I remember correctly that both the first two runs had reverse head stocks, bit then from that point on its been regular head stocks? That's what I think - somebody correct me if wrong! :)

In any case a SUH-WHEAT playing machine in all iterations!!!

As I understood it, only the limited edition Dark Lord has the reverse head stock. Some time later they started offering the regular Y2D in a trans black that looks similar.

Can anyone say if the color DARK LORD may have origins as a partial tribute to Keyboardist Jon Lord of DP?

Somebody who knows can correct me - I thought it originated with Joe Bonamassa, who wanted to use an "interesting" looking guitar for the tones in his song "Mountain Time" - he loved the Morse Y2D and went with a trans-black finish which reminded him of Darth Vader...

And - I have no inside information on this - but rumor on the street was that there was consideration of JoBo coming on board as an EBMM siggy artist at that time.
