I am sure the 40th will be a sweet bass, I am still in love the PDN gilded White. As for Scratch plate, I love the look of a Ray without, the control plate is a must, but the scratch pate, no, as in some cases why hide such beautiful finishes under plastic, but black with mirror plate is a must.:D

There's two versions of Pre-EB "Inca Silver"...Silver (as in Silver/Silver) or Silver with a golden hue (I prefer the latter).

I was told that the goldish/yellowish Inca Silver was a miscoloration that occured on some instruments.... Some sort of reaction to the inner lining of the case or the air or something that happened over time..... Could be wrong tho....

It's correct that conditions can affect the finish but I'm also aware that Pre-EB had a "Silver 2" finish. I have pics of the golden hue/silver and pure (my description) silver.
