I'll try to make it short:

I own three AL and they are the best guitars I've ever played. By far. And I've tried/owned a gazilion guitars.

Last year, I sold my "regular" candy red AL HH to fund an AL HH BFR 2012.

Problem is I have lost some of the sweetness the "regular AL HH" had. I think it's mainly due to the neck being maple- pao ferro instead of rosewood.

I really prefered the sound of the rosewood neck but want to keep the BFR. And even if I found someone, I'm not really interested in a trade.

SOOOO do you think MM would build and sell me an AL rosewood neck...???:confused::confused::confused:

No. They will replace (i.e. swap) a faulty neck with a brand new one exactly the same as the previous one but that's all. Your best bet is to ask someone to swap with you (which might be tough as the PDN headstock is matching, right?).

Indeed it's matching..I have no intention to get rid of this one : I would have loved to be able to swap them once in a while.

If I beg them, would it help???? :):):):):)

Seems to me the obvious thing to do is buy another 'regular' AL HH w/ the RW neck.

I'm on the other side of the fence hoping to someday add an AL HH with a maple neck!

Neither have I ... but I can't see it as such an extravagant request.

It's just a rosewood neck as they produce dozens : nothing special, nothing custom.

But I perfectly understand and respect that MM won't change its strict policy for me.
