This is cool - "5 minutes with Brian Ball" Interview highlighting history of EB

http://www.msretailer.com/msr/five-minutes-brian-ball-president-ernie-ball-inc/

for example .......
A big goal of mine the past eleven months has been to develop a long-term strategy for the company and build our team to be as strong as it can be. We’ve made some huge strides this year, which is positioning us to do some really big things. Bringing on industry veteran Dustin Hinz as our head of marketing has been a big boost to the company, and it’s given us another leader with huge aspirations. On the product side, it is difficult not to divulge too much, but we’re continuing to be the leader in string innovation, in addition to building out our product assortment on the accessory side. There is going to be a greatly expanded portfolio on the accessory, guitar, amplifier and new product side for Ernie Ball, in addition to continuing our path of innovation in strings. (Ernie Ball has been granted three patents on guitar strings over the last four years.)

The Joe Walsh sig is gonna be based off of the Cutlass just like the HH sig... I kind of like that idea to help push sales of a particular model. Would be cool to see someone cuddle up to the Silhouette and Gamechanger as well. I would assume the Axis line is holding its own but wouldn't mind someone out there pushing it as well.

Awesome article/interview! What a pleasure to gain glimpses into how the Ball family business started and evolved into the company it is now. Proud to be a loyal customer and supporter.

Thanks for posting this, Spud.

The thing I got most out of the article is how "on the ball" (pun intended) Brian is - we're in good hands for the future boys! :)

Recently Brian said something very interesting about EBMM future too:

JP8(?) is the only hope for my bandmate - he want us to tune to Fis and I don't wanna do that with my JP7 ;)

Can't wait for some sneak peaks :)
