They are gorgeous tops, to the point you have to say take the Pick guard off, a personal gripe of mine (some of my fellow KH's know so well lol) BUT a top that Stunning should not be hidden behind a guard imho. Very impressed by SBMM though.

They should really be putting a Clear Pickguard on those, like the Steve Morse Guitar.
Can't wait for my Vintage Tobacco Burst Bongo to arrive. And I'm surely excited what Music Man has to show this Year!

2016 is shaping up to be a huge year for sbmm! Wich is great, but i do hope ebmm has a bunch of new stuff for us. And hoping sbmm and ebmm will keep all this new stuff affordable. Time will tell....

In the uk we need more instruments in stores, i swear if there was more presence in stores it would increase sales.

Thats what puts me off the sr5 and part of why i chose the sterling 5 over the sr5.

Yes. I have 2 Sterling 5's. My Stingray 5 is a classic 5, proper PG. My only gripe with MM basses is the PG on the regular 5. Great sounding, though!

I really try not to be negative here. And on a sub series i would expect photo flame. But the street price of sbmm is pretty high to not use genuine maple tops IMO....

Yup, real Quilted Maple tops on those. They will be available as Natural, and also a lightly bursted HoneyBurst in both 4 and 5 strings.
Additionally, there will be a clear pickguard available for them to show off the tops on the 4 strings.

No, thank YOU BP for the opportunity to bring these wonderful instruments to players!

See these and even MORE at Winter NAMM, EBMM Booth 5440 :)
