My SR5H Dargie Delight is my #1 bass, but I needed a backup instrument. I bought a BFR Bongo 5H, but I just couldn't bond with it (it will be for sale soon
) It's an awesome bass, just not my awesome bass.
I started browsing for a used SR5H and found this beauty on the Guitar Center used site. I clicked on location... I couldn't believe it was here in Nashville! I spent my lunch break the next day playing it and buying it
It sounds warmer and "woodier" than my Dargie, and weighs 14 ounces less. I imagine the differences in tone can be the alnico magnets and rosewood neck. It still sounds like a Stingray, which the Bongo never did.
