This StingRay 5 was completed on April 4th, 2007. The color is white with the maple neck. The pickup is ceramic with the dummy coil. It was originally shipped to Voerman Amersfoort BV.

Hi, do you have info on what pickguard and pickup shape was on it when it shipped?
I have my doubts since the pickguard doesn't fit very well, and the pickup is fitted off centre...

April 23rd, 2010.

Just to confirm, Serial #F01921 was made in 2009?
I think it was advertised as a 1999! lol

My apologies.. This Sterling was completed on December 9th, 1999. Sunburst with the maple neck.

Hi, looking for the info on StingRay 5 with serial number E61347. Thanks a lot!!

Completed on August 14th, 2007. The color is vintage sunburst with the rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to Guitar Center.

Thanks, Joel. Could you also please let me know the body wood and the colour of the pickguard if you have info on that. Thanks!

The body wood is Ash. It was originally shipped with a black pickguard.

Hey Joel,

you already gave me DOB info on my 3 SR5s, but i neglected to ask about body and neck woods, pickups, pickguards, etc.
So if you wouldn't mind looking these up again, i'd really appreciate any details you have.

Thanks much!

53808 - StingRay 5 H trans teal fretless, 6/24/1993 - At that time we were using a mix of Poplar, Alder & Ash. The serial number database doesn't yield the body wood information, but it was most likely Ash with the translucent teal finish. We don't have the neck wood information in the system for this one, just that it was lined fretless. It has the ceramic with dummy coil pickup. No pickguard information available for this one either. It was originally shipped to New Jersey Guitar & Bass.

51795 - StingRay 5 H trans red fretted, 8/30/1990 - Same as above, it's most likely Ash body with the translucent finish. No information in the system about the neck wood (our database actually says this originally had an unlined fretless neck) or pickguard color. This one has the alnico pickup. It was originally shipped to Master Musician's.

E58570 - StingRay 5 HH Dargie's Delight, 3/20/2007, fretted - The body wood on this one is Ash. The neck is maple with the rosewood fretboard and matching headstock. The pickup is ceramic with the dummy coil. It was originally shipped to Bass Central with a black pickguard.

Thanks for the info on 49148, can anyone tell me the difference between the Blue Pearl color and the Translucent blue on this 96 Sterling.

Pearl Pearl has a bit of shine/glimmer to it and is not translucent at all. Translucent Blue is opaque and you can see the wood grain.

Also any info on the pickups, electronics etc on 49148. Thanks.

It has the Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling 3EQ preamp and the Ernie Ball Music Man custom wound humbucking pickup with ceramic magnets and the hum canceling phantom coil (both standard for all Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling models).

USA sub 5 X07711 dob please
thank you sir!

May 23rd, 2013.

and details of my main, a SR5 E36372 please

Completed on April 18th, 2003. The color is translucent red with the rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to Strings & Things.

Hi, do you have info on what pickguard and pickup shape was on it when it shipped?
I have my doubts since the pickguard doesn't fit very well, and the pickup is fitted off centre...

It was originally shipped with a white pickguard. The serial number database doesn't yield pickup shape information, but the flanged pickup was introduced in October of 2006 so this one should have the newer style with the flanged pickup screw holes not the older soapbox style.

Any info on this serial? Thanks.

This StingRay HH was completed on February 11th, 2015. The color is Pacific Blue Burst with the maple neck. It was originally shipped to Sam Ash.

Hi! Can you provide info on my Stingray Bass Serial: 48394

Thanks.

This StingRay 3EQ was completed on February 8th, 1996. The color is black with the maple neck. It was originally shipped to Rhythm City Inc.

Hmm, "our database actually says this originally had an unlined fretless neck" -- that's curious, because when i got it it was a lined fretless. (I had frets put in.)
