Hello everyone:

I have a 6 string Majesty and since I received it I noticed some problems with the 3° (G) string

- Picking with the string open sounds "weird" like a resonation was ocurring elsewhere
- When playing in the 12° fret the sound falls quickly(don´t last enough comparing with ther positions or strings), and in the 13° fret the sound ends in a harmonic all the time.

The guitar was already checked by a technician and he found nothing wrong with the frets and the truss rod is nicely adjusted.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!!!

If you've replaced the string, then it's either hitting a fret or it's not sitting correctly on the nut or the saddle. Those are things a tech should look at.

Does the problem persist when you fret a note on the G string? If so then it's an issue around the nut - check the nut slot to make sure it's free of dirt, debris, etc. Or it's hitting a high fret somewhere.

If you still have the problem when fretted, check the saddle- try moving the string around in the saddle a little bit. Could be a bur, it's not seated right, etc.

Give MM customer support a call/email next week and they can help you out.
