Were those EB strings? I am asking that because the last batch I bought were braking like crazy, never happened to me before. I have 12packs with broken high Es and Ds.
That's weird ... especially to have two different strings break consistently. Were those EB strings? I am asking that because the last batch I bought were braking like crazy, never happened to me before. I have 12packs with broken high Es and Ds.
I had Graphtech saddles on all my EBMM guitars for a while as I used to break lots of strings. I found they never lined up quite right and did something to the sound which was not what I wanted. I eventually put the stock ones back and using D’Addario strings I rarely break them.
I did mine years ago and was not skilled enough to do that at the time. I am glad you have it setup correctlyGraph Tech saddles exist in two sizes. I bought the wider ones and I filed them in order to have the same size as the Music Man saddles.
Each saddle is normally 11,1 mm wide and the Music Man ones are 11 mm wide ... thus it's not hard to do.
Do you have some reference for the official size? I would order those HighwoodOfficial sizing for EBMM saddles is 10.8 mm (54 mm E to E). In American money that's .425” (2 1/8” E to E).
Anyone ever try Highwood saddles? They look pretty good for anyone who is bothered by sticky-uppy screws.
Thx ,I already found those, I was referring at the music man vintage saddles oficial specs@PaoloGilberto : Thomann has the good size (10.8 mm)
