thanks guys. ya, im stoked.

i played a Luke at the SF GC a couple months back and it just floored me. I loved it!!!! i never, ever play clean but I was soooo blown away by how nice the clean tones were that i forgot to flip of the distortion channel.... i was that blown away.

seeing Luke playing this weekend pretty much clinched the deal.

I asked a bunch of people, even Luke, if theyd tried an EMG 81 in the bridge in place of the 85. seems like teh 81 is a pretty common metal pup so i thought that could be fun, but i have a feeling that it may throw off the awesomeness of the multi pup settings. i have some 81s in some other type of guitar i have so i may try that out. odds are ill love it so much that i wont wanna touch anything.

anywho... now i gotta wait a bit. full report and family photo when he arrives :)

the EMG 85 is a killing pickup I think you won't swap for the 81 :D

My only regret about this setup is missing a real number 4 position (middle + bridge splitted)

but neck and and pos 2 are really killing in clean sound !!!!

the cleans were what sold me too, i coulnt believe the beautiful tone!!!! And i was playing it next to an Albert too! i didnt end up buying the one i tried out, as it got sold the same day, but i never forgot the tones it had.
