So the time has come for me to make my 1000th post and i have been thinking about this moment for several years now... echos of "What would i say?" "Who would I thank?" "Would anyone even care?" danced through my head (almost like Dizzy and his Olivia Newton John outfit). So alas the moment has come for me to make the journey to the 1000th post...

*aaahhheeeem*
Ladies, Gentlemen and Addicts alike
So I come here today with Great respect and admiration for the one that started out this whole Crazy thing... Mr. Ernie Ball... I would like to thank you for the vision of providing string sets as we know them today and the quality that i have come to rely on week in and week out. Mr. Sterling Ball... well I would like to thank you for being born... and carrying on the Ball Tradition and helping continue to strive for new heights in the music business and not only achieve those goals but to blow them away... Thank you for being forward enough with your vision to bring us Knuckleheads together in a place where all barriers are laid down and we come together for the common love of music. Lastly I'd like to thank the Knuckleheads for helping making this place so awesome and such a great source of knowledge... a few personal thanks- FING- The Crazy one... thanks for hookin me up with my 20th (don't worry i paid for it) and being so generous and working with me... that guitar has changed every way i look at playing and practicing... and has made me a better musician. Browndog- Thanks for making it possible to like the Canadians... (ha ha ha) and to the rest of ya for puttin up with my nonsense over the years.

Here's the push for 2000!!!!

Well said Peter, we’ll see your 2000 post around 2015. ;)

... and everyone loves us Canadians. There are enough of us here to take over this place.

It just hit me that it took you almost 5 years to get to 1000 posts:eek: Were you stuck in a well for a few years?

Slav;)

more like stuck behind the a fender wall...

this is actually a pretty funny story- glad you brought it up...
i joined the forum after purchasing an OLP guitar... i was told it was an EBMM prototype for OLP so i joined trying to gain some information about it. So i was on the forum for about a day checkin things out and i noticed that there was an active member who seemed to know EVERYTHING about these guitars. So i started PMing him... and received all the information i needed to know... including the knowledge that Big Papa is Sterling Ball...
I met a few great people and gained a life long friend in Jodizzle (if you guys remember her from CS). For some reason i managed to fall away from the forum and didn't contribute much for 4 years. I came back to the forum after i had played a Silo and fell in love with it... and was looking to see what was new... i knew this place would be place to come and see what BP and crew had thrown out there... can you say BFR's galore... i had disappeard right when BP started teasing us with the letters BFR and left it at that...
So long story short I kept low for a few weeks didn't post anything really and decided i'd try my luck and see if i could pick up a 20th... total shot in the dark... well... FING replied... i was able to buy it and just loved it... and as they say i'm hooked... all my "walls" have been removed and i'm as they say "Hooked"

Hey, u talkin to me? NY
I was playing and collecting other brand guitars (I had 18, mostly early 90's Ibanez). Then I bought my Trans-Gold Axis and everything changed - it was my game changer;)! Not that I didn't own Balls before (Silo in the late 80's then a Luke I in '94 and a trans-red Axis in '97). I made the mistake of trading them for other guitars - young stupid and following big trends:rolleyes:. That Trans-Gold Axis that I purchased in May of '09 (also when I joined the forum) got me hooked and since then I have sold or traded all my other guitars for beautiful Balls!

Back to Peter's celebration!

Slav:)

i'm so happy that i sold all of my other stuff for my EBMM's there is nothing like 'em. It's crazy how something like this just changes the way you play...
