Thanks for all the replies! I'm VERY happy with it. It's so fat, thick, clear, and full of sustain compared to the standard JP. Someone nailed it when they said the standard JP is like a fat strat and the BFR is like a Les Paul on steroids. I'm loving the piezo, but i need an acoustic amp so i'm watching one on eBay that ends tonight. Hehe.

After the long wait i can definitely say I have no regrets! I had never even seen or played a BFR before in person, so I took a bit of a risk, but the beast screams!!

I must thank BP and everyone at EB for putting together such fabulous guitars. I can't find one thing about the guitar I don't like! Oh and I've got some EB strap locks I'm going to slap on it this weekend too. Thanks for those as well!

Thanks! My wife has some competition now. haha.

I just won a little Crate CA15 acoustic amp for use with my piezo and GT-8! Can't wait to hear the piezo in all it's glory!

I knew a flamed top was what I wanted all along and boy am I glad I stuck with it!

Congrats on a great guitar! I agree with your assesment. Definately a difference in the guitars! I had a reg JP and found this drastically different. SUSTAIN.... and the neck, after all the freaking out about a painted neck I actually find it to be a faster neck!

Nice Integra, yours too?

Yep! That's my '94 GSR with 210,000 miles on it! She's my daily driver too. Runs great, but burns a quart of oil every 1,000 miles. It's paid for though! I'm hoping it lasts me a few more years. I'll keep driving it until the repairs (which have been none for the last year at least) outweigh the fact that I have no monthly payments.

Haha - not on this one! I'll leave the bluesy, classic rock, and hard rock tones to the Mystic Dream JP with it's push/pull system. The BFR serves up a whole different palette of tones. It fills the acoustic need with the piezo and the heavier side of rock's tones (dare I say 'metal'?) extremely well. My standard JP now seems to be a bit meek in the heavy tone department now after hearing the BFR. Phil nailed it when he called the BFR 'a beast'!
