Perfect, Shiny and New indeedy! I named her Karla.
Perfectly set up out of the box.
The settings IMHO:
1: THAT sound.
2: A sharp slappable tone. Also good for tunes that call for a well defined bassline. This setting made China Girl sound extra delectable.
3: Reminds me of Seymour Duncan QPs. Very big sound. Suitable for pieces that need a heavy bassbeat. That Eb-Eb-Eb-Eb line from God of Thunder was... well.... thunderous. Too bootilicious for slapping.
4: Grrrrooowwwllls and burps. Reminds me of Glenn Hughes' tone in Burn from the Deep Purple Made in Europe album. Perfect for Yours is No Disgrace. The slap tone has a little less edge than setting 2.
5: 1/8th note rock was the first thing I thought of. Heavy driving tone. Silly Love Songs sounded great. Again, too much @$$ for slapping.
Countless more tones available with the ever versatile 3B MM EQ.
Weight: Surprisingly light! My shoulder is orgasmic.
Druthers: The case has a bad middle latch. (shrug)
Again, thank you to the EBMM family and thank you Beaver Felton and Ed. Because of this bass, there is no need to venture into Leo's other brands. 2pup MMs cover it all!
Kay, you have your review, I'm gunna go play some more!
